electric fans on my gsl
i bought an electric fan from the local auto parts and a thermal switch to regulate it but once the fan comes on it can never cool it enough to turn it off even on idle, also if i drive it hard it will heat up above halfway and only come down after a while, i saw ford Taurus fans were good and also mr2 fans, this sounds like the fan i have isn't sufficient enough to you?
for those who have experience i was wondering which fan is best for my 12a |
Tagging along here, I'd like to get an E-fan for my rex soon. did ya notice a power gain? Also, what year taurus are we talking here? I hear that it is the 3.8L 6cyl fan that is the best.

I noticed a big improvement in first and second gear. Basically like adding a lightweight flywheel to the front of the engine. |

Yes. 3.8 fan from a early/mid 90s taurus. I have mine ran through a switch in the cabin so I can turn it on and off when I please.

Kentetsu added a set of fans from a 1st gen MR2. He said even with one they worked very well. They are designed to suck alot of heat from a cramped engine bay wtih poor airflow, so they should be more than enough for your engine. Plus, Toyota reliability. https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.p...light=MR2+fans
