Are you talking about a cutout valve or a screamer pipe?
|

Side dumpers are where it's at. Here's my car a while back, has 4" dump tip fitted

Ehh, to each to his own, personally I dislike that like the plague. But that's just me, if you like it, that's cool too. It is certainly unique lol.

What is a screamer pipe?

Man!!!
I loveee those mufflers too, Ive been looking around for quite a while now. My friend sent me a pic of this: Attachment 719471 Which appealed to me even more than the smooth turndown. Ive decided to just try finding some thin walled stainless steel tubing and welding one up myself, but if anyone can find a nice turndown that wouldnt involve fabrication that would be slick!!!!!!! |
I love those style of muffler...they have a classic look to them...DO IT MATT!!!!

Why dont you get some mandrel bent tubing to the degree you want? I think that would work.... |

Ya, That would work too, but I really like the broken up look of that mufflers tip. I would prefer that style If I have to fab it myself, but I would be cool with smooth one if available this side of the ocean, at a decent cost.

how much for 2.5 inlet |
Im glad im not the only fan!
Ive looked at those rotaflo ones, but for about 340 USD its a lil out of my price range. I was thinking about getting a round style borla muffler and adding a dump style tip to it. Fibremaz, how much are we looking at for those style tips? Thanks for all your guys input, im glad I got such a good response. Well except for that one noob lol |

Rotaflo's are a great muffler. I run them on both of my PP's and also have the rotaflo resonators on one car. I know the manufacturer of the Rotaflo mufflers personally so if you guys were interested in a GB (even a small one) I can surely help out. Does anyone know a site that's easy to upload sounds onto? I can put up a few clips with Rotaflo's fitted if so |
|
Grrrr...it won't let use my files because they are Media Player  :wallbash:
|
I sent you a PM

Sorry to come off like that then, but thanks for the welcome. I have learned quite a bit here, and I don't know alot about rotaries lol. Get me a DSM, BMW, or any other cars and thats quite a bit different story lol. To get back on track (dont want to sidetrack anyone) shoot a sound clip of the system if you get it.

I bit the bullet and got a Rotaflo for my Rx2....the RF 250....2.5" inlet with the 4" smooth dump. Absolutely the best sounding next to the old Primaflow's. Running two blown 4" round Magnaflow's in the middle as resi's (magnaflow's will blow in 6 months...no shit) and the Rotaflo at the end, it is quiet enough on a large streetport to not get a drone headache, but loud enough when you want it too. I'd like to go SDJ with 2 XR-1's in-line and see how that goes.
Jon at Rotaflo is a straightup guy and is easy to deal with. The first muffler he sent got fucked up and he sent out another without a problem. Rotaflo all the way!!!!! If you really want to hear one...try this http://ausrotary.dntinternet.com/for...899&highlight= rotachik666 has a vid that sounds a lot like mine. What mine looks like. http://ausrotary.dntinternet.com/for...03b589a415736f |
Actually I just checked and the vids are down...gad dammit!
|
What would you guys think about a 1 in 2 out muffler with dual 3 or 3.5 inch dumps on it? I think it would look pretty cool, but I don't think I've ever seen any thing like that before.

IMO I dont think that would look as good as a Large single dump.
Any word yet on the possible GB? Edit: Like a true noob, I click on my threads first to see what the replys are, and missed the GB thread right above it lol GB thread: https://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=623348 |
