MIKE-P-28 05-19-03 03:16 PM

shit you ought to here a 13B turbo through a 3" downpipe :D That is FREAKING loud!

NanaimoRx-7 05-19-03 03:35 PM

It's pretty fun eh? I had mine off for 3 days last month, what a blast. The best part is the pedestrians..alot of them have this great dumbfounded/confused look on their face when they hear it. You just know that their brains are telling them that something that loud should be alot larger than a tiny sportscar. I want an electric exhaust dump so I can have it at will, unfortunately, I'm not willing to cough up 200 bucks to get one.

ASEmaster 05-19-03 06:47 PM

I drove mine to the muffler shop with only a pace-setter header attached... the noise and vibration nearly shook my teeth out! The kids on the corner thought it was pretty cool when fire would shoot out as I blew past them, though.

Yeah when I first start my car next week after completing the motor swap, I thing I'll do it with just an open exaust manifold. I cant wait to see the look on my autoshop teacher's face.

So exacty how loud is this going to be?

Thats how I drive my car around all the time.....but, its not a header, its the stock collector on my car.

My exhaust blew up from the 1st cat after the manifold back.

Its funny for a day......but then its just ridiculously annoying, to the driver AND anyone within 5 blocks of the car.

I threw a $17.99 muffler from Pep Boys on what was left of the exhaust pipe directly after the first cat, just so I have somewhat of a chance to drive past a cop without being pulled over.

.....I actually heard a modified exhaust 1st gen driving down the street the other day, and was shocked on how weak it sounded, compared to my car. Especially since I was near the local Muscle Car hangout.....and all my muscle car friends were like "Please don't tell me your car sounds like that......hahahaha"

Thank random explosions and Pep Boys....it doesn't.

well my dads race car which is STOCK manifold with straight-pipe turned down before the rear.. 98 decibals. open HEADER will be absolutely insane.
