Door, Window, Hatch, etc weatherseals...
 

I need to know where i can get good weather seals for a decent price, everything from rear hatch (and struts too) to sunroof and window seals, and also what the hell should i use to stop a leak in a windshield? thanks

Victoria British sells weather stripping and hatch struts. I bought weather stripping for both doors and a window run channel for my drivers window and they were great. There are probably cheaper sets out there (like on ebay). The hatch struts, however do not have removable end pieces so you CAN'T transfer the defroster equipment very easily (if at all). I would go with Strong Arm struts from Advance Auto (or your parts store of choice) they are #4709. They are cheaper and have removable ends, which makes moving the defroster stuff easier.

the door seals on ebay fit perfect as well...windshield leak...i'd go see an auto glass shop...i have no idea...

I inquired about a windsheild leak at a local auto glass place. I asked how much it would be to pull the glass clean and reseal. They looked it up on there computer and said $300. Because they said if they break it that's how much it would cost for them to install a new one. They said it would be better if it broke, had a rock chip, or it would be better if it broke.

In the course of reconditioning my 84SE, I ordered the door seals, sunroof seal, rear hatch seal, window channels, and window guides (inner and outter), and am now amazed at how quiet my car runs. Previous to this, the wind noise coming in from the door seals was enough that you couldn't talk below a loud voice and be heard.

Now, you can hear a whisper in the car at freeway speeds, and the air conditioning doesn't run out anymore. Definitely money well spent, but it's going to cost you. I think the rear hatch seal was about $90, IIRC, but look them up - they have sales from time to time.

Hatch struts can be found there as well, and are top quality for the money. HTH,

I have wind noise above 70mph in my 7...I replaced the seals and still the wind noise. Looks like i'll have to adjust the actual drivers door...

yeah i need outer door seals (2 sets) badly and i also need to adjust the door itself, as for the windshield i found a great solution. i used plumbers 'Goop' from Lowes , 5 bux and its high temp silicone rubber, sealed up the inside area perfectly
