Does this look normal? Brake Boost
Does this look normal to you? I'm about to replace the master brake cylinder and noticed that the rod came out as well. I cleaned it up and it looks okay but I'm wondering if it's supposed to do that.

I'm going to do as you suggested and cross my fingers that it holds the vacuum. I won't have the car running for a while so I'll have to put it together, get the car running, and then test out the brakes. Thanks. |
I've never had one actually come out, but that rod is able move around quite a bit with the master cyl off. I wouldn't worry too much about it assuming you can put it back together with no problems.

its fine as long as the o ring is good.

Thanks for all the input. |
The rod is attached to the diapram (sp?) last time I checked. Personally, I wont use that booster.
