I think they stock springs for all 3 gens. You pick what you need. They cant be the same, think about it.

makes sence...i just got my hopes up...thought maybe i could get some used 3rd gen springs....

Isn't a 1.6 inch drop wayy to much for a stock suspensioned 1st gen? According to the Mazdatrix site, the suspension will bottom out in the front with more than a 1 inch drop.

You normally use a stiffer spring when you drop the car, therefor preventing bottoming out the shocks. The lower you go, the higher the spring rate should be.

But also the stiffer the shock youll need to control the spring or it'll overpower the shock.

Arent all first gens including -SE (aftermarket) the same, I know my RB's will go on both my cars....

Same spring design yes, but the rates may differ.
