Which DLIDFIS do you guys follow?

which do you guys follow? JEFF20B or this guys article http://www.smbaker.com/rail/msd6a.html
I have a MSD6A, But which article do i follow?

Jeff20B 08-28-09 12:07 PM

There is only one DLIDFIS. I don't know where the confusion comes from.

I don't really like that smbaker guy's article because he leaves a few things out, but I'd say since you already splurged and got yourself an MSD, go for the MSD.

Oh sorry, I just meant to ask which Article are people using to do the DLIDFIS. I didnt mean to say that there were to kinds. no confusion.

What kind of things does he leave out in his article?

thanks for your input.

You are talking about "direct fire". This is a general term and can be done many ways.

DLIDFIS = Dual Leading Ignitor Direct Fire Ignition System. This is a specific setup using a pair of ignitors (usually the stock J-109 ignitors) to fire a pair of leading coils. This does not use MSD boxes, etc.

So both articles are "direct fire", but only Jeff's article (and related info posted on here) is DLIDFIS.

I noticed that the guy forgot to move trailing to the leading spots on the dizzy. tisk-tisk :) Doesn't matter much, but every little bit helps.

I run 2GDFIS but that's not quite DLIDFIS
