Distributor Troubles, will my dizzy from my 12a work in my 13b
hey i just got a gsl-se 13b that i'm puttingin on saturday and i just noticed it didn't have a distributor will the one from my 12a work???
yeah that'll work.
good i was getting concerned will it work exactly the same way or am i going to have to change anything
i hope the weighted advance is the same cause that one is un adjustable unlike vaccume advance, which is also:
why does timing have to be such a beioch what if you start the car and its way off and you get a nice ping and then there goes your engine 11.gif so how do you know wheather or not your timing is way off if your installing a new distributer. for ex: i'm swapping in a gsl-se motor on saturday and i doesn't have a dizzy so i have to use the one from my 12a and i heard that the "timing curves" are different so how do i set it before handso i can just start it up to then be able to set the timing with out blowing my $hit up? |
I know the rotors are different so maybe more in there is too. I don't think you would want to rev it to the point of blowing it up. Just get it going & adjust the timing. You should be able to tell if the revs are to such a point it will ka-pow!, unless you are racing on the test drive.
