disk break conversion? a gsl into a gs?

From what I have seen posted here previously, that you need the brake lines (the hard ones) as there are 2 seperate lines going back instead of the one like on the drum rear end. Also the brake master cylinder is needed off the GSL as it has less pressure going to the rear brakes. Hope this helps. As far as the rest, I THINK it is straight swap. Good luck and I am sure others will jump in as I usually forget something.

I swaped the gsl diff, the whole thing, and didnt change a thing. Left all the brake lines alone just hooked up the gsl line, because the two meet and connect at the same location as the drums. i now have an 81 with 83 gsl rear-end. dindnt change anything

you need the gsl parking brake cables, and the master cyl and p. valve. then swap in the rear diff. I did this on my girlfriend sons 85 gs(L)
