Disconnecting clutch hydraulics hardline?
 

Man, this thing is playing a number on me. I can't unscrew it from the hose nor from the MC. Those tiny 10mm nuts are starting to round off and it won't even budge. What's the deal? Is that normal? I've never done this before.

Mine was a mother too! I shot it with wd-40 and let it sit for a few hours then came back and it finally let loose. Before you destroy it, you might want to get a new or used one to put in to replace it.

You need a special line wrench. It looks like a box end wrench with a narrow section cut out so the line can pass through. It can grab more corners of the fitting than a normal open end wrench.

a line wrench will help matters a ton! i can post a pic if need be for reference. i also find that a little hear from a map gas torch on the female end on the clutch hose can be essential. you must take care not to burn your hose. a pen torch is also a good choice for this.

You'll generally find them called "flare wrenches." worth their weight in gold... at least, they are before you round the flare nuts to the point they won't fit on any more.

Time for a vicegrip locking plier.

Woot! Great success. Got a flare wrench and after a bit of struggle and lots of PB Blaster cracked the nuts loose. They don't look too bad and the pipe seems ok too, so I'll probably reuse. Thanks for the help.

people tend to over tighten those. like jeff mentioned, vise grip pliers have worked for me on many occasions. glad u got it loose.
