Dimensions

Could anyone tell me the dimensions of all the bolts that connect the engine to the Trans? They appear to be 8 mm and looks like two different thread pitches. And also the starter bolts? The bolts were missing since I bought the car with no engine.
Can anyone tell me what size and thread the oil cooler lines are or where to buy new lines or what material should be used for custom lines.

All this is on a SA that will be getting a FB 12A but I want to use the SA oil cooler instead of the beehive.

Also I would like to cut the openings for the storage bins both for battery relocation and "storage". Can someone measure the openings and distance apart and how far the top edge should be from the rib running across the rear area.

I want to say tht the bolts should be closer to 12 or 14mm. If memory serves correctly, the pitch is the same, just different lengths. Cant remember legths, sorry. I am pretty sure that either one or both of the starter bolts were considerably longer than the tranny bolts. The oil cooler stuff, not sure. It sounds like your tranny bolts may have been broken off during engine removal. May have to just retap the holes and use new bolts. Good luck.

bolt diameter

By 12, 13 or 14 mm do you mean the bolt head? IE the size wrench needed?
The bolt shank appears to be 8 mm.
Can anyone confirm this? And know the thread pitch?
No bolts were broken off. They just are not with the car. No engine either.
I gat a 1983 ? engine for it, but no bolts with it either.
Is any kind of washer used on the engine to transmission bolts?
Would the set of bolts be the same on both 5 speed and automatic?
I have heard that someone has used a longer starter bolt so they can run a ground wire direct to the starter bolt by using double nuts with an eye terminal on the ground wire. This seems like it might be a good idea to do when I relocate the battery.
Anyone with the storage bin cutout dimensions?
