Diamond racing wheels, 4x110
|
there ugly and expensive imo
|
Mine cost $150 for a set of five, and that included four Bridgestone RE71R tires that still had 5-6/32nds on them :) Used of course!
I don't think you'll find cheaper 4x110 racing wheels than Diamonds... $60-70 is pretty good IMO. Too bad we don't have a more common size or we could be getting $39 wheels like the roundy-round boys! |
I got my set for $75 (16x10, all 4), look brand new, but still need tires though. Kind of heavy, but cheap.
|
I got mine 13x9 for I think 64$ each... (although 4x114.3mm not 4x110)
look pretty good too. can't be beat for the price. I think they were 12-13lbs each? |
how about some pictures of them on the car?
|
need a scanner... I'm staring at a picture of mine right now.... I'll see what I can do.

I've got 'em on my '80 Race car, they came with it, but the car was sitting for like 3 years so they've got surface rust on 'em now, doesn't look too hot. But they're cheap
|
I wonder what 15x7 or 16x7 (maybe even 8's) would look like with some nice tires all tucked away INSIDE the fender wells.
Also, whats up with this quote from there website: "Balancing: Wheels are lug-centric and can not be spin balanced from the center pilot hole. (Center pilot hole is stamped and not machined to be concentric with lug holes.) Wheels must be spin balanced from the stud holes." Where the hell can you get the wheel balanced at? |
I balanced mine on the hub center... only shakes a little bit. Maybe I'm just lucky? (A stopped watch is accurate twice a day!) After your tires get flat-spotted a couple times you don't even notice the imbalance :)
I don't think you'll be able to tuck 7" rims in under the fenders without some serious rolling action going on in the front. You can try though! |
I got 7" rims with 205/50?/R13's on my '80 race car and they only rub when I turn the wheel all the way, and if I ever do that on the race track, chances are I'm already off in the grass, so it doesn't matter.
|
those are pretty damn ugly
|
oh i thought the price was like $150.00 a piece.

here are 13x8s on my car...
Note, they don't even come close to staying under the fender wells, but they make me go faster :) |
ok, here are some pictures from side views...

Originally posted by Felix Wankel I don't think 7'' will tuck in. My rims are 7'' wide and they sit flush with the fender, and are very close to the springs. Thanks |

Hell yes, it is about speed in racing, not looks.
|
THe only place they rub is at full lock to the left, but that's because I have a slightly dented right fender, otherwise they'd be fine. 13x8 with a 4" backspace fo rthose who asked.
And right now, the rest of the suspension is stock (coil-overs should be here this week!!!) And yes, I also think they look goofy, but they make my car go faster, so I'll deal... |
