Days worth of work

Well after finally recieving my engine i decided to get crackin. I ended up doign very little actaully in the engine since i had no clue and my dad wasnt around. I repainted my trim in the rear hatch along with the pieces around the shift boot and cd player thing. It looks prety good, pics to come soon. I took out my radiator, then my AC radiator thing. Then my oil cooler. the previous owner had it unhooked(damn) So its all nasty and im pretty sure imma need a new one. Anyone know where to get one, and how much itl cost, or if mine would sitll be good?. Also i was thinking about using my escort fan as a pusher so i dont have to cut its shroud and crap. Anyone think thatl cause problems?

What are you needing? A new oil cooler? What year? Model?

Well if its the oil cooler, try and get a used one. New ones are $400+.

I have a used Turbo oil cooler.

Let me know if you want it.

flush that oil cooler with Power Purple or any other strong driveway cleaner type product.

ALWAYS send a used questionable oil cooler out to be ultrasonic cleaned. You just don't know what's in there.

There's a shop in Carson, California that I've had sonic clean 3 oil coolers for me. darn good job. i think i have posted their address and # here. just search.

Amen to what hornbm said... when my oil cooler's inlet cracked, i was just gonna buy a new one and after looking around you won't find a new one for under 400 bones. Went to a machine shop, he cut it off and welded a stronger thicker metal on it and tapped it. Good as new. But that's not the point point is: don't get a new one unless absolutely necessary.

Maybe ill try and clean this one, but the inlet and outlet is filled with dirt and crap. Maybe itl flush, but im gonna have it flow tested and run alot of stuff through it before i put it on the car. I have an 84 -SE
