okay..
so i bought a haynes.. and it has no instructions about taking apart the dash... i have removed all the bolts and screws that i can see.. yet i still cannot remove it... anyone have any pictures of how the dash comes undone.. or some suggestions maybe

there are a s*itload of bolts and nuts that are hard to see I can help but I need some more info

1 are you removing the ac / heater units

2 have you disconnected the wire harnesses on the driver side

3 have you removed all the small plates (under steering column , sides facing doors , glovebox , etc.)

let me know and Ill help you out (I just did this in my 84)

I've done this a couple times recently, always a bitch. Things I tend to miss are the three screws in the defrost vents (PITA to get at), the nuts (or screws can't remember) on the tranny tunnel, and the ones hidden behind the center console. Try to disconnect all the heater stuff to, which sucks but needs to be done. Good luck.

Don't for get the stupid ones on the underside of the dash behind the center heater vents to each side. Those are a pain in the ass to get, because you can't get a normal screwdriver or socket wrench up there.
