How much liters of liquid does a 1985 rx7 gs manual take for coolant?

not sure, buy 2 gallons of green concentrate and mix, you will have more than enough

its just under 2 gallons. around 7 liters. if you really wanna go nuts, its listed in the shop manual which is here http://foxed.ca/index.php?page=rx7manual

I mix 1 gallon at 50/50 with distilled water and its enough usually.

^i use the 50/50 stuff because u DON'T add water to it, hence the name. ur just diluting it more. u really should be getting the regular antifreeze.

as for the OP original question, i'd have to check the online manual on the site, then look up the conversion for gal to liters. but yeah it's bout a gal and a half so whatever that converts to.

1 gallon = 3.785 liters and as said before, it takes roughly 2 gallons of fluid from empty, so roughly 7.5 liters.

i tried that 50/50 premixed stuff for the first time last year when i put the Impala back together. so far, so good. i may try it in the Gen II whenever i finally put it together.

I'm very curious what you mean here...50/50 coolant is almost twice as expensive as pure coolant that you dilute yourself.

Explanation:
The cost of one gallon of 50/50 coolant is about equal to one gallon of pure coolant. It costs about $1 for a gallon of distilled water. If you mix the pure coolant gallon with the gallon of distilled water, you've only spent the amount of money on one gallon of coolant and one gallon of water. If you bought 50/50 mixed coolant you've paid for two gallons of coolant, almost effectively doubling the amount paid.

The nice thing about 50/50 is you don't have to worry about poor water quality. Some OEMs specify a spec pre-diluted coolant for just this reason.

Myself, I don't always use coolant, but when I do, I run 2 parts antifreeze to 1 part water and two bottles of Water Wetter.

Well if you don't use distilled water, you will have corrosion issues.

I agree, the premix stuff costs almost 2x of the pure stuff. Seems like a lot to pay if you can buy
distilled water and mix it up yourself. I could see using the premix for an emergency or keeping it
in the car for a long trip.
