confusion with the rats nest
 

ok when i first started my car the idle was at 1000rpms and it would go up and down, like it wanted to die...then i look at the back muffler and i notice it is smoking abit, but i think that is normal....so i go back and check the tutorial (by carl) and was wondering maybe this is my problem .... on the first picture the question is what do i do with this. Do i just cap it...The second picture, the t that is connected to the crusie control and the sol. Is that really connected right. Is that really the crusie control, that big black copper thing...can anyone help me out please.

Take some pics that are zoomed in and circle the connections you have questions about. In the first pic, that valve needs hooked up or capped. Not sure what you are refering to in the 2nd pic.

Pic 2, the cruise control is the black/copper colored thing, bolted to the firewall, next to the VIN plate, with cable coming out the end.

Pic 1, are you talking about the vacuum pod? I think that is part of the chock pull-off setup.

but y is the idle acting so strange?...at 1000rpms it keeps going up to 1100rpms and down to 1000 very rapidly...is it possable i might have a leak some were.

and just now i checked the timing and just when i moved it nothing happend...Then i just checked the 2nd hole and there is no pressure, nothing...i think that there is a vacum leak some were...but i dont now were...any ideas?
