Clutch Return Spring??
1 Attachment(s)
I was driving in stop and go traffic the other day when I felt a pop while engaging the clutch. Everything still seemed to work fine, the clutch pedal maybe felt a bit lighter though. When I got home I found this spring and rubber piece, shown in the picture, laying on the floor. I haven't been able to find a part number for any sort of clutch return spring.
Any idea what it might be and is it important? Like I said everything seems to still work fine. FYI: car is an 82 Thanks |

Hey thanks Divin!
Do you really need it? |
The return spring is mountef on the pedal ( ther is hole for it) and the upper brake /clutch pedal bracket assembly
|
It keeps the pedal from bouncing around, mainly.
It may not be absolutely crucial, but if I had one broke I'd replace it to preserve correct pedal position and proper free play. |
i've got a couple spares if you need one
