clutch problem or tranny problem?

when I accelorate just a little bit my clutch just disengages and slippes horribly. but when i looked under my car it looks like there is oil coming out of the back of the tranny.

You may have 2 problems, a toasted clutch and a bad seal on the tailshaft. Good news is the seal is easy to replace when the tranny is out for the clutch replacement.

i just replaced the clutch about 3 months ago with a 6 puck clutch and pressure plate

Hmm, that disc should not slip, it will chew up the flyweel and pp first, unless the disc has oil on it.

I think you mean input shaft seal. Just correcting your info for him if he decides to get a new tranny seal. We wouldn't want him to accidentally order a tail shaft or rear seal when he actually needs a front or input shaft seal. Also he needs to get the gasket for the slider hub housing.

Better yet, he could order all three since the tranny has to come out anyway.

Jeff, I typed input shaft seal the first time, then reread his post and noticed he said the oil was coming out of the rear of the tranny, then typed tailshaft. You're correct, both seals should be replaced while the tranny is out.

While the trans is out, it would be a good time to check the rear main seal, since the trans has to come out to replace it.
