Closer And Closer!!

Ok, last you heard, I was saving money for a new engine. Well, I have since aquired a whole parts car (84 GS), and am going to take the engine out of it and drop in my 83 GSL. I FINALLY got my FIRST job :D, and am out buying stuff for my baby like crazy. I just bought all new filters (air, fuel, oil), NGK spark plugs, a whole case of oil for after the engine is in (not that I need it all, and its 20W-50, is that right? If not I'll just exchange it), and Im going out for plug wires (Accel), dizzy cap, and rotor tomorrow :D. Im SOOO happy you guys didnt let me give up on my car now :D. THANK YOU!

PS - While I was at the parts store, I saw some MSD Blaster 2 coils that were calling my name and looking all pretty...Can I just swap those in for the stock ones? Are they any good? They looked like they came with either capacitors or resistors or something...Kinda looked like a ceramic capacitor to me...What are they for?

I hear that the high performance coils don't do much for performance on a stock ignition. Yeah 20w-50 is right. Good luck with your project!

Yeah, well I plan on going direct fire in some form or another at some point in time, I was just thinking that I could get at least two of the coils out of the way now. Also the MSD 6A box was sitting there looking all pretty too...But tires come first, as does struts and springs. What kind of struts and springs do yo all use? Im looking for some info on all of them, and I want something that will give me better handling for mostly street, and will give me an "easy" install with no rubbing and what-not.
