Centerforce II Clutch
 

Well, after taking my car to Mr. Transmission they adjusted the linkage as best they could but it was pretty much a waste of $50 bucks. I will have to replace the clutch. It's still slipping. I plan on replacing with the same type - Centerforce II Clutch and bearings.
Anyone know where I can get the kit here in Canada for about $290? Thanks.

On this topic, while sort of hijacking it. A GSL i recently acquired has a recently replaced clutch (previous owner, bout 5 months ago). It feels much stiffer than my stock other GSL however the "active" pedal travel is greatly reduced.

Full disengage to full engage is about 1/3 the total travel and is very stiff. The remaining 2/3 of the pedal travel (out 2/3) is very spongy and doesnt do anything. I've never encountered the change in pedal "spring" before. Is this normal with rx7 aftermarket clutches? Or did this guy botch something when he replaced it?

Thanks for all of the input. I'll post in the Canadian section. It's a 13B 6 street ported with a twin 44mm Mikuni side draft setup along with 2 MSD 6AL Digital boxes and 3 coils.
I've heard that Centerforce II clutches are in the top 2 for durability and quality. I'm not really into used parts unless they're not part of the engine or trans. I figure since I've owned the car brand new from 1982 and so far the only thing gone wrong with it is changing the starter (this year), and now the clutch - that's pretty darn good for a 28 year old car. The mods were done about 3 years after I purchased the car.

I love the Centerforce DF clutches, and can highly recommend them. Mine has stood up to hard drag-racing and auto-x'ing. I got mine from Mazda Comp years ago and it still runnin strong. I hear some people complaining about them, but , I don't know if this is possible, I wonder if they put the clutch disk in backwards so the the wrong surface is on the flywheel....

Best of all, the pedal is lighter than stock.
