Carbie on 79 Series 1???

Hi guys & girls,
I live in Australia and I've just managed to pick up a 79 rx-7 for only $250.00 Au. Its my first rotary and its in rough condition, but it runs and with a bit of work will be okay! One major problem is the carbie, which is leaking oil quite badly.
I'm hoping someone will be able to tell me what carbies were fitted to Aust delivered 7's and point me in the direction of a web site that will give me enough info to service/overhaul it.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Cheers
Mark

not a clue, but I doubt that Aus Rexes received different carbs than any other Pacific Rim country, with the possible exception of the undeclared Nation of California with their CARB stuff

Can you describe your carburetor oil leak? These engines come with an oil metering pump mounted on the bottom of the engine with small diameter nylon lines that deliver oil into the carburetor just above the idle/mixture adjust screws. If the oil metering lines have come loose, or they have become brittle/cracked with age, this could be the source. The small bit of oil injected into the engine cylinders is necessary for lubrication and you shouldn't run very much without it being fully functional.
