Carb tuning help after mods

Alright... here is the back story.

I added an electric fan and then at high rpm the engine felt like it would bog down, ya know kinda cut out.

Then just recently I added an FC-1000 ignition control module and the C-4 coils and now at like 6,000rpm the motor starts sputtering and cutting out.

Also, if I just floor the gas it just dies and then kicks like crazy and will take off... I think it is the squirters spraying that instant fuel.

So my question is, Do I need to go smaller jets or larger and at what increments should I start with. Also, how do I cut back on those instant fuel squirts... cause I am assuming that is over fueling the car on instant WOT.

Since you didn't mention any changes made to the carb, check your fuel filter.

Thank, that is a pretty cool site. I will have to look at my holley and see if it has the same adjustments (I'm sure it would) and I guess just start playing around.

Yeah, I have had the same Holley 650 Double pumper with #66 jets all around the whole time. But it has been a while since I have replaced the fuel filter. Thanks, don't know where my heads been on silly stuff like that.

I also think it is a fuel filter problem.

High rpm sputter could also be attributed to weak grounding, or more likely ignition issues since you recently made some changes there. I assume you have set the timing correctly?

The timing is set the same. I have not changed or altered it.
