carb issue?

While in 4-5 gear going about 60 mph my car seems to starve for fuel and sputters. Its a 84 carbed rx7. Any ideas? Pretty sure its a carb issue or a fuel sending unit prob, please help

go through all checks fuel filter, lines, and such but then check your ignition cause if you have recently done any work amke sure it is hooked up right. i had a similar problem but it was that i kept spuddring and it was that my trailing plugs werent firing. so i put in a new dizzy and couldnt keep a constant speed without joulting till i figured out that my trailing wires were reversed

hmmm, havent messed with anything myself, not the plug wires... those are correct...ummmm, it feels like a fuel prob

Another possibility is the screen filter on the pickup tube in the tank. I've seen those and the tube so plugged with rust, that the engine would idle fine, but as soon as you gave it any pedal, it just died.

Replace the fuel filter first.
