Car wont start after coil change
So I've been replacing a few things on the old girl to get it running better, ignition wires, spark plugs etc.. so far so good. But, changed out the (original) ignition coils and it will not turn over, just click, click etc like the battery is dead - always turned over really strong before. Checked the battery has charge, and it does, so figured I missed a connection but I'm 97% sure the wires went on the right way. well at least 75% anyway.
I figure it is something simple, but is there any info or diagrams on exactly how the coils are meant to be set up? I have the FSM and Haynes etc but cant locate the right info or just not understanding it. Anyone had the same issue? |
The engine should turn over without the coils. Did you try undoing the coil change and pout the old ones back in?
Make sure the battery is connected correctly and has a good ground. Check all the fusible links. Check for voltage on both sides. If none is found then remove and check with ohm meter. |
