car needs to become famous first for something, before i can be an idol

oh man im hilarious!

rotary-guy 07-01-05 10:12 PM

oh thats funny, ya smart ass, you could have at least said something about the problem

burners85gsl-se 07-01-05 11:29 PM

Its a rex! And you could check for vaccuum leaks.

jays83gsl 07-02-05 12:29 AM

For once the no0b is right. Check for any kind of vacuum leaks.

Also, it's not a common problem, but make sure your Fuel pump is getting enough pressure and volume to your carburetor.

idol? :) my car doesn't idle either; it's ok, lots of people are illiterate when they're tired.

is this happening after its warmed up?

renagade_rotary 07-02-05 01:00 AM

if it idles like a harley the engine is blown but other than that vacuum or ignition prob

Paradox 07-02-05 01:10 AM

not another 'idol' thread!

Kentetsu 07-02-05 01:15 AM

How sure are you that you are turning the idle screw, and not the mixture screw?

jays83gsl 07-02-05 01:35 AM

You ARE an Idle screw!

rotary-guy 07-02-05 02:46 PM

im pretty sure im turning the right screw because the mixture screw is on the bottom right below the idle screw, and once its warmed up the choke sometimes sticks and i push it in from the carb and right after that the engine dies. its really pissing me off i want to drive it ahh
