car dying, no clue

Hey all, been having an issue with my 85 GSL. Once the car gets warmed up and I quickly decelerate to come up to a redlight or turn, the throttle goes down too fast and kills the engine. I'm assuming it's vacuum related, anyone had this problem? Starting it after one of these events occurs is also hard, have to floor the gas petal. Thanks everyone for any advice.

One thing to check, provided yours is a carburetted GSL and not a fuel-injected GSL-SE:

There's a device on the rear of the cab, next to the throttle linkage, called a 'dashpot.' it's job is to slow the rate of throttle closure. If it's missing or not adjusted correctly (or loose on it's mount) it can't do the job and depending on the richness of your tune & the health of a couple other devices, this can cause a stall.
