car died wont start wtf

Alright so the other morning I was warming up the fb, and while talking to my neighbor I accedently let it die, happens from time to time, but I decided to finish my conversation before restarting it since its loud as #@$!, then it seemed to be flooded, so I deflooded it, tryed again, no go. compression sounded great, no problem with fuel or spark, but still wont start, I may try changing the plugs maybe they fouled they looked great when I pulled them to deflood though, I checked spark with a spare plug on the strut tower not with current plugs, fuel bowls half full, getting ap squirt, jets are spraying,

When I turn it over it just pops occationally. somtimes several in a row. like pop pop pop. tryed starting fluid also with no luck.

Car is a 12A, stripped carb, rb header 2.5" exhaust, CAI, advaced timing, rats nest and emitions all removed. FC leading coil mod (working I checked), S4 alt.

I'll check the timing tomarrow.

Push/tow start it. Get're rolling and drop it in 2nd or 3rd gear, It'll start. I like to use 3rd cuz it doesn't kill momentum as quick and let's the engine turn over several times giving you a better chance of getting it started.

Clean off the spark plugs, then dump a couple ounces of Seafoam down the carb. Should start right up after that if the problem is flooding.

Engine ground points tight?

good idea kentetsu, I'll give seafoam a try, still havent had a chance to work on it. been super busy.

Yeah ground points are nice and tight, voltage is great. until the starter runs it dead.

Based upon one incident from my own prior experience - have you checked that there is gas in the tank?
