I’ve been trying to figure this out for a while now searching all the manuals but it just keeps slipping past me..

I’m doing the holley sniper conversion and so far everything has gone smooth besides the part where i’m hooking up my emissions harness and rerouting vacuum lines where they need to go… other questions i have and desperately need answers for is what wires do i need to hook up from the harness to the engine and what can i cut off the harness? also, since deleting the rats nest and air pump and what not, what do i absolutely need to hook back up? all i can think of is brakes. I have two nipples on the sniper and another one on the racingbeat intake. I haven’t capped any of the nipples on anything i’ve taken off and i did it months ago so i’m not sure what needs to be capped off, what needs to be connected and what can stay off

 

Here is the stock setup of my mostly oem 12a, plus the vacuum diagram from under the hood.

I am not much help on what you need to do regarding deletes as mine is CA smog legal, but there are folks here on this site that know vastly more than I.

 

The one on the oil fill tube is to help keep excess moister out. Not sure where it should be moved to but capping it will result in a milky substance in the tube.

Think of the other tube the same you would a crank case vent.

I took mine out when I did the rats nest delete and the dehogged in the carb….i didn’t cap them but I installed an oil catch can….. You can see the catch can on the left of the strut tower

 

The one on the engine connects to the evap canister via a vacuum operated valve, and the one on the oil filler connects to the air cleaner.

You don't want to cap these off. Not the one that goes to the air cleaner anyway.

I strongly suggest keeping the evap system functional. Fuel goes stale a lot faster if you eliminate it.

 

No evap or rats nest on my SA.

I ran the oil filler one and tee'd it into the brake booster line to provide vacuum.

The one on the iron I ran to the air cleaner to provide fresh air.

NO more milky residue in the my oil filler tube.
