can some one post detailed pics of an air/oil cooler setup?
hey, im needing detaild pics of an ail/ oil cooler setup, mainly the heater hoses and how they need tp be routed.....
thanks -greg |
There are some pictures on my MSN site of the cooler. I don't know if that will help. I could take some for you if needed.

Heater hoses? Just run one like stock, to the firewall. If you engine has the Tee under the oil filter, just block off the now unused port.
|
with the beehive there are 3 lines coming from the firewall to the cooler,
there is only 1 lines to put in coming off the block.. i need to know what to do with the other 2 -greg |
You should only have to block one water port on the motor, and one on teh heater hardline.
|
use a Y junction?
|
im gonna go take a pic of what i am talking about and put captions on the pics
brb -greg |
Either use 2 hose caps with clamps, or run an extra hose to connect the two.

OK I think your a little confused dude. I took a look at ur pic and this is what you need to do. The hose that goes to nothing, needs to be removed. You just need to simpily put a cap on the unused section of the T.
|
cut the t off both the block and that tube, and you'll be left with one hose from the firewall to the block and one from the firewall to that tube going to the radiator. blocked off t's look like ass.
|
there is no T in the pipe on the block, this in an SA engine ;)
but that pipe that goes to the radiator that has the T in it, just cut the T and thats it? -greg |
yeah but you'll probably have to unbolt it from the framerail, its too short if you cut it. i just didn't like the way the bolt looked i used to cap it off at first.

Buy a rubber cap for it. 5 min, done.
|
no rubber cap carl, my engine bay is gonna look so sexy when i am done
and a cap will be an eyesore :) yeah TJ i got it figured out lol i lost that pic u sent me and i got a ll confused again lol thanks guys |
Well, if you want it to look the "right" way get the hard water line from a 79-82 car, its made for the air oil cooler and has no Tee on it. Also the stock heater hose will work exactly as it should and look stock as well. Asuming you can find one thats the way to go.
|
i cut the T off, and i am getting all new heater hoses tomorrow, my stock ones are nasty and look moldy... ie the picture
