Anyone feel free to chime in, now would be a great time!

You can but it would be a big waste of money.

they're only 6 bucks each.....so they will work ok?

thanks!

Refresh my memory, those are 2nd gen plugs? If so they will work with the 2nd gen coil.

BridgePorted12A 05-08-06 05:47 PM

they are actually 3rd gen plugs

See no need to use them then. I would stay with the same oem plug, then change heat ranges as needed.

they work fine. called up www.rx7.com and they were nice enough to give me the info :)

I use them on my 1st gen but I also have a 3rd motor :)

How are they so cheap? Mazdatrix has them listed at $11.

BUR9EQP are 3rd gen. spark plugs. They're the same as 2nd gen. except they're platinum and more expensive.

I just don't see the point in spending extra money on late model plugs in a 1st gen. as they're more likely to foul.

What's the advantage? There is none.

I have 16 plugs, 8 hot, 8 cold from when I had my second gen. Which set will work without fouling?

Just go buy a cheap set of plugs, you wont notice the difference. Any performance gain you get isnt worth the extra cash. Besides if you foul them it is cheap to replace them

actually, I just took the car out on the highway after putting these NGK plugs in and in made a noticable difference. Granted I am running really really rich and my plugs were fouled, but there was unquestionably a diff in power throughout the power band

I run FC plugs in mine at the moment. Autozone/Oreilly's stock the BUR#EQ and BUR#EQP, they do NOT stock the 1st gen plugs. Non-platinums run $5.50 or so each, and platinums typically $6.50/ea or so.

I noticed a difference, but my old plugs were beyond their lifespan, so that is to be expected. :)
