Would it pass emissions where you are? Do you want all the police force to know your car? Then yes :).

lol yep shes gonna be a phsyco weedwacker as i was once told, im prety much doing that... for a while then gonna get a presilencer
cops are gonna make you fix it tho, and if you dont need to pass emissions go for it, i live where we dont have air care (THANK GOD)... or the DEVIL either one i dont care...

:peace:

You might want to look into a Racing Beat exhaust system. It replaces your manifold, cats, and stock muffler with a header, presilencer, and power pulse muffler that still sounds great but frees up a ton of power.

You make it sound so easy. Just throw 600bucks at the exhuast system. :D Ofcourse that is a fine choice, but I personally would make my own system for that price since I can.

i agree with Mannis.... Racing Beat is the best "quiet" exhaust system you can get , and they last a long time! its $600.00 but you only have to buy it once! and any Racing Beat product has good resale value!

You could make your own for that price, - however...
An N/A rotary is very finicky as to it's powerband depending on exhaust configuration. Notice Racing Beat sells different systems depending on your level of porting. It's not a one size fits all kind of thing. A lot of time, research and development were put into then to get a good overall mix of power, economy, and noise suppresion.

I personally have seen bridgeports on the dyno make 40 HP +/- depending on how many inches the exhaust runners were run into the megaphone outlet.

That's the other thing, RB systems are extremely well built and last for the life of the car.

I knew I'd spent my money well when the components arrived. Rugged, well-made, and well packed.

I became a convert the first time I drove Pamela after she had the RB system bolted in. While most consumers will tell everyone when they have a bad experience with a product, I believe in doing the same when something turns out to be the real thing.

I *wish* I could be a Racing Beat dealer. In fact, I've spoken with them about it. Problem is I'd be contractually obligated to buy a certain amount of product every month, and I sometimes disappear for 6-8 weeks to work on a film. That'd be an expensive bill to come home to!

Yes and unfortunately for about every bad experience a consumer has, a dealer has to make sure 10 consumers have a good experience because on average a consumer with a bad experience will tell 10+ people while a consumer with a good experience is lucky to tell one person.

Your telling this guy to go 3in on a non ported probally stock engine?

Im running 2.5 in exhast on a non ported engine and think it should go NO bigger than that unless your ported or Turboed,I still think 2.5 is good for a street port.BUT you wil need the 3in for a bridge..

Since thats what your recommending what set up/exast do you have on yoru car?

error402 12-27-02 09:52 AM

<-- 2.5 in straight pipe all the way for $35. I just brought it to a muffler shop. They weld, I pay and then leave 20 minutes with louder car. ;)

RB exhaust is nice and quite, but pricey.
