can any one identify this bolt for oil
 

ok what u see in the picture is a bolt thats under carb back passangers side of the car it was leaking oil onto my exhugst i tightend it a little to stop the leak
what i want to know is what is it for and can i tighten it all the way in without stuffin somthin up im not sure what to do with this as i dont want a fire to breakout not realy a chance but a posibillity

this might help a bit right behind it is the tranny join the bolt would be say near the bottom 1/4 of the tranny but it goes to the back of the engine hope that makes sence lol :icon_tup:

Thats not a place for a bolt.Someone wrapped a bolt in electrical tape and jammed it into the pipe nipple that usually feeds the coasting valve(anti-afterburn)

Its a common hose to fail because its near the hot exhaust manifold.It probably rotted away and someone just jammed that bolt in there to fix the big vacuum leak that insued.The oil leaking is fuel/oil residue that feeds into the engine via the intake runners.
Either get a new hose and re-connect the valve,or install a good,thick rubber vacuum cap or a silicone cap with a big zip tie or small hose clamp to secure it.

ok so this picture iv posted now with my finger pointed to is the afterburner?

so could this cause major vaccum leak (meaning the bolt with electrcal tape) cause latley since i tuted with it i can get my car to idel under 1200 so i guess best to cap it az i have no emmisions at all.

Thats the shutter valve.
It stops air/fuel flow to the rear rotor under certain conditions.Block its vacuum nipples off too and be sure it propped in the open position if you have no emissons system working.
The anti-afterburn valve would be on the side of the intake manifold,it allows air only to flow into the rear intake runner when the shutter valve is closed.Its a pretty large hose/nipple,so any leaks will definately cause a problem with idle and general running quality.
