A/C Question(searched)
 

Hey guys. I'm going to convert my A/C system from R-12 to R-134A but I'm not sure of what all I need to replace to do so. Plus I'm not sure of the cost of things either. I would keep it R-12 but I just can't afford it. I'm trying to go the chepest route possible as the heat is becoming intense and I have a black interior. Thanks for all the help guys

First of all. Was your A/c working then stopped working?

The A/C works, it just blows hot air instead of cold air

a better question would be does your compressor cycle on and off?

Just a tip for you guys with A/C. On all cars that had A/C added at the dealership. There is in most cases no low pressure cutoff switch. This means that you can turn the A/C on and the clutch will engage.

If the system has the cutoff switch and the A/C clutch is not coming on then you are low on freon or there is none in the system.

Yeah my guess is there is no freon left in the system
