bumper ?

ok, i have replaced my smashed rear end and taillights. on my rear bumper, its not in bad shape but on the black part of the cover its has a 1 1/2" gash (tear) has anyone ever attempted to repair something like this. if i have to find a new bumper cover i will. but if i can fix it myself, i would rather do that. thanks

sand it really well. heat it up with a heat gun and you can use duraglass or they actually make a plastic epoxy that is two part that is used in many body shops for that same problem. basically the epoxy is laid on like bondo or duraglass and when it dries, it is sanded, primered, glazed, and painted.

Find a place that sells used bumbers, usually they can fix yours cheaper than you can buy a used one. Thats how i got my front bumper fixed

you can get a heat gun from any home improvement store like lowes, home depot etc..
DONNA: that is exactly what i was talking about

I wouldn't think you'd be able to buy the gun and duramix or whatnot for less than a used bumper. What do people charge for RX-7 bumpers? I thought $75 was on the high side, $50 was about the norm.
