how do I fix? see picture:
|
you can epoxy a washer in the spot where the white plastic has broken out of or replace the unit. is that a brown or gray driver's side door pull?
|
it's black. Will epoxy dry super hard , and bond to the rubber plastic so I can drill a hole?
some glues dry soft, and won't bond to some plastics thx, |
Or try using "quiksteel" instead of glue type stuff...

I found a quicker way that just worked for me. It involves 2 pieces from the hardware store. A longer bolt and a steel nut insert.
I need to get both parts tomorrow so I can do the other side. I'll post pictures of what I used. |

Primitive but effective!
1 6mm X 1.0 Nut insert as pictured 1 6mm X 1.0 X 60mm bolt. Set insert in place, put bolt in and screw while applying downward pressure therefore threading it's way into the plastic housing of the handle. Thread it far enough so that when you put it up to the door it will start to thread into the hole. Then just screw it until tight and done. :) |
Got the same problem. Great tip.
