The proportioning valve is there to regulate the front to back pressure on the brakes so that all the tires lock up together.

The nose dipping problem you have is a suspension problem. Get stiffer springs and better struts.

:withstupi The dive is from soft springs up front. Weight transfers forward under braking. This is normal.

The major design issue with rear disc brakes is that is incorporates the park brake mechnicals which prevents the rear piston from free floating like the front calipers.

Even with a brake prop. vavle you still will have a not be able to get the car to squat when under hard braking, so it will still have a tendency to put more braking to the front, or lock up the rear tires.

Dealer or buy a used unit.

Why are looking for a replacement unit?
