Bought new 85 GSL-SE today

Well I live in CT and drove to PA to pick up a mint 85 GSL-SE today. It only has minor bumper damage and a tiny bit of rust by the back left fender well. 2 Year old paint job and 1 yr old tires. 148000.00 with the original sales receipt and all the documents. This guy was the secound owner and needed to sell it to pay for his sons college. His lose my gain. All for only 1500.00. I will be restoring it this winter and putting in a new stereo system. The first test will be the higly debated pocket subs. I will have two temporary subs in boxes placed behind the front seats, test the db then move them to the back and retest. I will have the answer everyone wants to hear.

I would never put subs in those bins.. for many reasons.. instead.. make a ported box that can be taken out when you want to race.. and taken out fast...

Well after looking at the inside of the bens, it is out of the picture. Too much crap in there. Well I also found a little cancer behind the bens, but just needs a little TLC and she will be fine.

pull the tail light out and look at the inner quarter. I bet its getting pretty rusted in there. If you can see rust form the outside its worse than it looks.

i very much agree with mike.. I've seen a lot that look ok.. but on closer inspection.. very bad news. If you have bin rust, chances are your upper suspension links mounts are weak, and if you drive it/launch it hard, they will break off..
