Bought a 82 Starlet. what to do???

Picked up an 1982 Toyota Starlet. It needs some work even though it runs and drives, the stck motor has to go. I am wanting to use a motor that will not cost an arm and a leg, and be reliable as my wife will sometime drive it. So far I have narrowed my choices down to a Toyota 4age or a rotary. If I go with the 4age I can use my stock transmission till it gives up then I will be starnded till a old corrola GTS (ae86) turns up in a junkyard.
If I go with a rotary I will be venturing into unknown waters with me (my rx7 has a piston swap :p: ) , but parts and motors are easy to come by in salvage yards around here.
If I where to go with a rotor, I will probably just call rotaryshack and get a carb/intake setup to make things easy and clean. 12a's and na 13b's are pretty much everywhere in the junkyards.. what are the pros and cons of each? I will probably end up going with a mild blow-thru setup later on after getting it running if that makes a difference.
Also if anybody has any links to a Starlet with a rotary installed please post them. I am looking for more street type cars, most I have found so far are full on drag cars.

Thanks
Randy

Go Rotary!

yeah throw a rotary in it and its guarenteed front wheels off the ground, those damn cars are so light, just throw some nitto 555r drag radials and an agressive clutch, 45dcoe side draft and racing beat exhaust, with an msd igniton, and go to a junk yard and get to a 4wd mazda pick up, and get a gslse rear end- then u get the front gear out of the mazda pick up and throw it in the rear end of the gslse. now u got lower gear ratios. oh yeah, wheelie bars.

If you decide not to go the Weber route, I have a 48 DHLA carb and manifold if you're looking.
