Boost prepping 51ida Weber

Im looking to boost prep my 51ida weber (7-10psi max on stock s5 turbo). From what I read I need to do 2 things for sure.

1. Vent the fuel bowl into the carb hat so it sees the equal pressure. (Does this mean running a line from fuel bowl to carb hat area?)

2. Swap the brass float for a plastic float. Because the brass float will crush above 6psi. The plastic float ot good until 20psi.

Other things I have read are unclear. Its obvious that i need to seal any and all areas that can leak. But what areas do these include?

1. What else besides the "hat" needs to be a sealed?

2. Do I have to seal the throttle shaft? If so, how would I go about doing that?

3. Are there any other modifications to the weber that need to be addressed?

I have everything else ready to go. I just want to be sure I get my weber in order before setting it all up.

1. the weber should be pretty good, but i'm sure there is somewhere it'll leak.

2. there are seals on the throttle shaft, so you should just replace these.

3. just make sure everything works, accel pump, make sure the venturies are tight, top cover doesn't leak etc etc

I rebuilt the Weber recently so its in pretty good shape. But how would I remove and replace the seals in the shaft? Never went that far into a Weber rebuild. I have a Weber book and it dosnt mention anything about it at all.

Yeah, that was by accident. It kept saying it didn't post, so I would try again. The next day all 3 threads showed up.

When installing my carb hat, should I leave the velocity stacks and auxiliary venturies installed? Or remove them both and install the hat without them?
