MelissaRx-7 02-15-02 02:23 PM

:( You've just crushed me

Are theyre any other kits that look as great as that??

Dyno 02-15-02 02:33 PM

Same problem, love that thing. Once a month someone pops up all excited about that car. Anybody up Toronto way know this guy? Maybe we oughta figure out which parts are what Porsche peices and try to see how much work it would be to recreate....

There is a kit like that!

Scott There is one made like that. The Steve guy at A-spec here in Toronto Canada. Had one almost the same front only more aerodynamic and different lights. It has a camealien paint job on it!. Ill see if i can get the picture off him to scan it!

Looks kinda like a newfangled poopra. Nice though.

MIKE-P-28 02-16-02 01:02 PM

I bet it looks really nice a couple years after it has been installed, especially with all that molding it into the body and stuff, especially around the wing... I have seen far too many custom kits molded into the body and they look like POO POO after a few years... All cracked and stuff, big spots of fiberglass filler, cracking out...

Looks great now tho...

I agree with Mike. There is a great difference between bolt-on and moulded body parts. The latter have problems in normal use if you want to keep up a good finish. Obviously the car has a very good body and paint job and is a credit to the craftsman.

Its a good looking car and nearly passes off as a recent Japanese GTi import such as the Nissan R34 without the performance. If you want to turn an RX into something else then go ahead. Its like the old fad of turning Beetles into mock Porsches. But then some people enjoy kit building 'Cobras' when they can't afford the real item.

I agree with Melissa, That body kit is wicked!! That's probably the best body work ever done to an rx7. I spoke with a guy at a-spec, where that car has been serviced and I beleive the guy spent around 10 grand to do that. I love the back bumper on it.

bump!

Historia 02-17-02 12:19 AM

DAMN!! Thats a nice drooly kit there. I admit my heart did the nice thump thump action seeing that. It would fun to screw around in a car like that. And no I don't mean that kind of screwing boys. But as a real RX I'm not too sure of that

JIMMY54 02-17-02 07:24 PM

there should be a section with heavily modified rx7's.... or something with ideas to trick out an rx7
