Blown Fuse - No cluster, tail lights

I have been searching on this topic and haven't found an answer to my scenario. I think my situation is a bit different than the other recent thread about the blown fuse, so here it is...

I keep blowing the 10amp fuse that is in with dash cluster, tail lights, and side markers. Headlights go up but don't go down, gauges still work, the car still runs great (I did remove the rats nest about 2 months ago). I replaced the fusible links from my other 7 and still blew the fuse as soon as I turn parking lights on. (on a side note, my washer light has been on for all but 2 seconds that I've owned the car, which I thought was the washer motor, but maybe not?)

Thing I haven't check yet: the connectors that I've seen mentioned, I do not know where the connector that is prone to getting burned is at? Is it the connector to the gauge cluster?

Thanks for any help, I am getting desperate and frustrated.

I changed out the headlight switch and still blew the fuse.

So I put the original switches back in, and everything worked... does anybody have any explanation for this??? I'm so confused.

I'm not sure, maybe it was shorting at the connection and pulling and reinstalling fixed it?
