      hey direct thanks...

I have seen those 12a to 13B exhaust manifolds adapter plates you know who sells them? I searched but nothing...

anybody has a link to a some nice water to air intercooler setups?

also a link to a good malpassi dealer.

...I guess you see my plan...

      TIA

Use a standard 13BT exhaust manifold. All you have to do is "Oval" out the holes for the closer bolt battern.

Unless it is strictly a 1/4 mile track car, I recommend an Air/Air Intercooler. It will cool better, and not get Heat soak like water will after some hard runs.

The most difficult challange I had was the turbo manifold. What I ended up doing was cutting the mounting ears off of a T2 manifold and then welding it to a 12a header plate (header flange). I double welded it (ground down the first welding and then welded back over the top) This spaced the turbo out just perfect for the wrap around style manifold. I did have to grind a little off of the area where the top down pipe stud is. Other than that it fits perfet, almost like it was supposed to be!!

This is not finished yet right?

      REVHED 09-03-02 08:06 PM

Hey moremazda, nice set up you got there... think you could give me some specs (fuel system, carb mods? boost, ignition, etc)? I'm considering doing something like that with my IDA.

      Any finished pics?

Almost!! IC plumbing is this week. I will also be hanging the Rosery beads from the rear veiw and saying my prayers. I have been needing jets for the carb for a while now. Now that I have them I can get to the IC piping. I will have more pics taken this weekend and I will do a write up of everything I have done.

There are no mods to the carberator. Only the jetting has been/will be touched.

How are you planning to seal the carb? I mean, from the IC to the carb...Thats basically the same setup I want :). What size turbo is that? Can I stop by and see it sometime :D? If you still need those hinges, I still have them, lol.

hey thanks for all the help!

      RotorMotorDriver 09-04-02 06:20 PM

Hey I just thought of something...Do you have to take the emissions off when you put a DCOE carb on there like that? I mean, wouldnt it hit the rats nest? Well, now that I think about it...Who would want to run a Weber DCOE and aftermarket exhaust with a rats nest still intact :).

      RotorMotorDriver 09-04-02 06:23 PM

Oh...And how do you seal the carb!?!? :)

      ~T.J.

Edit: I plan on throwing some N2O injectors on that DCOE intake manifold...Good idea?

      RotorMotorDriver 09-05-02 02:16 AM

      Anyone? :(

      I don't see why you shouldn't :)
