billet steel flywheel?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...sPageName=WDVW
has anyone ever heard of these and are they any good? would this work on a turbo II conversion with the stock -se transmission? |
I bet that thing would whistle like a bitch! Ever hear the RE Amemiya flywheels!?!
|
My centerforce aluminum flywheel on the rx7 weighs less than that (9lbs)
My RB aluminum flywheel on the REPU weighs less than that (9.5lbs). My RB aluminum flywheel has many thousands of miles on it. The friction disc has been replaced once. Both my aluminum flywheels can get new friciton surfaces installed, and can be serviced in the USA. Whereas the billet one on ebay will wear and the whole thing replaced, eventually..... |
besides the fact that comes with the wrong rear counter-weight for your application.
I have always used aluminum Flywheels, I had an SR on my last TII, another SR on my old S14, and I have the Racing Beat 215mm going back into the RX-3 all are reletively high hp cars (more so than stock atleast) and I have never had any problem. I would never suggest a solid ot billet aluminum flywheel where the friction surface is also aluminum, this would have a propensity to crack. For not much more $$ you can get a RB or SR flywheel, maybe even hold off, I am sure a used set-up will come around. |
