Best Spark Plugs & Wires?
 
What are the best one of my application, I've got NGK plugs but my dad ordered them from Mazdatrix and I think he might have got the wrong ones because as soon as we put these in it started to smoke on start up and it never did that when I first got the car.

Stock atm, PS20 Fireball Coils.

Ngk are the best plugs for your car. Should be Br9EQ14. What color is the smoke? rx7doctor

Whitish that kind of hangs around for 5-10 seconds but it clears up after about 15 seconds and doesnt happen again until it sits up for any amount of time; even at WOT.

could be a slow leak of your water seals. That's what I thought was going on with mine. Turns out it was the cold start system shoot in coolant. So I ripped that off.

Did you double check the routing of the ignition wires? Also could be coincidence.
May have leaking injector. Try this one evening, remove the inlet fuel hose after you get home. Then reconnect it the next morning and see if the smoke is still there. rx7doctor

The weird thing is, it didn’t start until AFTER the plug, wire, and coil change.

rx7doctor, you wouldn’t happen to have a diagram of what goes where and know anyone who sells wire looms because some of mine broke off.

I've also got a little bit of moisture corrosion inside some of the wires due to no electric grease used.

Can you post a picture of this hose, remember, it's a 13B.

Are you referring to the routing of the plug wires and coil wires? On the wire looms, are you talking about the plastic protective loom that encases the wiring?
On the corrosion, get some electrical cleaner sold in the car and a small brush.
Push the wire out away from the boot and spray and scrub each one.
The fuel hose i am referring to is the one closest to the oil cap. They come from the tank as a hard line then there is a piece of rubber hose inbetween the hard line and the hard line that goes under the plenum. rx7doctor

Yes,

The looms are the plastic pieces about the routing area that hold the wires in place so they don't cross fire (I think that's what happens if they cross).

Any pictures? I'm a total newbie at the RX7 and don’t know it by heart like I do my other cars YET.

Sorry, no pictures at this time.
The looms you are referring to i believe are the ones that route the coil wires to the cap. As far as the main ignition wires they are referred to as wire seperators and can be purchased at any auto parts store. the ones for the coils are dealer or i can see if i have some used ones off my parts car that i will give you.
The ignition wire routing i believe i can explain. The dist cap is marked for the coil wires and the ignition wires. The top plugs and bottom plugs are as follows.
Top left is refeered to as T1, top right T2. Bottow left is L1, bottom right L2.
Coil wires as follows. Center wire on cap is leading coil and is the one closest to the fenderwell. The trailing coil wire goes to the trailing coil which is the one closest to the battery. As far as the fuel hose you will see 2 hoses running to the hard lines near the plenum chamber ( the piece that the T/body is attached to).
Big rectangular piece of the induction system. The feed or pressure hose is the one that is closest to the oil cap. Hope this helps. Rx7doctor

when ever one of my friends changes plugs and wires on his cars (he goes through a lot of them for some reason... cars that is) he throws out the "looms" for the spark plug wires. I just silently pick them up and later, put them on my car. My car didnt come with any, and now I have 3 :D. I just need him to work on one more 4 banger and none of my ignition wires will cross anywhere :D

Happens to the best of us at times. Rule of thumb for all viewing post. If a sympton comes up after install or working on your car. Backtrack and recheck all work. 99% of the time it will be related to what you just did. The other 1% is what will drive up up the wall and have you talking to yourself,lol rx7doctor
