best high flow cat hands down.
Friend of mine has one on a 3rd gen, there is no ceramic brick to melt down its all 321 stainless steel internal, high heat and still passes smog. In fact it gained a little power over the straight pipe.
at $199 each their a bargain for what they do.

I may have to work that into my custom exhaust plans...
I'd love a way to keep some sort of cat on my car, but I was worried about flow, size and price... That sucker is SWEET

I remember seeing those a while back.I think theres some rotary shop selling them for the RX-8s.If my Bonez cat ever dies,Ill have to try that out.
If you want a good sound, but not with the high cost of the full RB system, then just get an 81-82 RB rear muffler and make whatever custom/legal/non-legal/straightpipe/stock replacement exhaust system you want. The 81-82 is a little louder than the regular RB mufflers,so you wont be wishing for more noise, but its WAY,WAY,WAY quieter than most everything out there. And its bulletproof against a rotaries heat.
And anyone that tells you that RB mufflers are too restrictive can stuff it.I run a full 3" mandrel bent stainless steel exhaust system out of my turbo, through the 3" Bonez cat and into the 2.5" inlet of the 81-82 RB muffler.I push 14psi of turbo boost into a streetported S5 13BT no less, and the damn muffler glows dull red at night to boot.In 4 years, its never blownout, burnt up,caused any noticable restriction or lag and its even CA noise emissions legal(by 1 decible)!

That's awesome, sounds like your setup worked out well.. congrats.
as for me, i'm 17, i don't know too much about how the systems work(obviously), i'm trying to learn, and i don't know what would benefit me. thank you for all the help.
but yea, i don't want just sound; i want performance. I need to pass emissions, and I want a good setup that won't run me $700+
If you could try to tolerate me being a n0000000b, help me out?
