Being unlucky too much at once.

So, I was messing around with the door lock on the driver side, it was feeling really tight, so I looked at it. Then I remembered I had to fix the pass. side too. So, in my moment of rushing, I locked the drivers side door. The pass. side was still unlocked though, so I thought, "Hey, no big deal."

Shit had to hit the fan eh? I picked up on the pass. side handle and heard a snap. So now my key's are in the ignition and I can't get into my FB. So I became slightly frantic wondering what the hell I'm going to do. So I called a local Mazda dealer and they said they could make me up a key as long as I showed proof of ownership. So I drive 35 miles and they make up the key and say don't worry about it. So I thought my luck was going up. I get home, and the efking key doesn't work.

I have no idea how to break into a car, nor do i want to break out a window. What's my best bet to figure this bunch a crap out?

Did you try the rear Hatch with the Key form the Dealership?

It didn't work in any slots.

I guess I got lucky though. My power window motor on the pss. side doesn't go up 100% so there's a gap that you wouldn't see if you didn't know. So after 5 minutes :banghead: with a coat hanger I finally caught the door handle. I got my keys! I unlocked the door too. :rlaugh:

Lmao. I have to give you credit for that.

Although I have a story for that too on a Neon, but I'll save my self the drama that would ensue.

I make 2 dupe keys and hide one under the car in one of those magnetic boxes and keep the other at home (in the kitchen tableware drawer where all the extra keys go).

It's already so easy to steal a 7 : you can jimmy the door and the column lock with a screwdriver. That stuff just keeps small kids from doing it. When I had to park overnight in a store parking lot I removed the distributor cap. Good thing, too, cause some local had a screwdriver. No smart thief would grope around under the car for a couple minutes on the off chance of finding a key when he can do it in 30 seconds with a screwdriver. On the other hand, how many smart thieves are there?
