Ahh, I remember the days. The good news is that things will get better!

Agreed.

I am sure this makes you feel soooooooooooooooo much better hearing that from us but trust us, most of us 'old farts' have been in the same situation and it does get better.

When I got out of the Army the first time I spent a summer detasseling just so I could make my car payment and afford some money for school. Thank God for the GI bill otherwise that wouldn't have happened.

Five years from now you will look back on this and laugh. Ten years from now you will look back on this and go 'Damn I wish that was all I had to worry about' as the kid's dental bills, the house payment, the Visa bill and the back fence falling down let you know what stress really is.

Trust me, it gets better, sort of. Ok it just gets different.

[You won't be a poor 18 year old forever. ]
Yeah, just think, in 8 years, you'll be a poor 26 year old. On the bright side, you'll have an rX-7 that already had 60k mi before you were born. Beauty, eh?

Just give up, Mac. Hopeless. You'll just blow the motor on the next car too. Get a Honda. That's what all the kids are into these days, you know?

ray green 06-25-05 09:05 AM

a Honda? BKM is obviously more intelligent than that. Like he said,

"$200 from a guy on the forums...cant go wrong really...it runs..."

u want to talk about bad luck? heh... i had a post already on my great luck, what with my belt breaking, motor overheating, plastic level sensor melting and shooting into the air, evans npg+ spraying a good 10 feet in the air, hot mind you... so yesterday, i'm driving down the highway, look down at my newly installed temp guage, notice i'm at about 195... i'm thinking thats odd... so i start watching it... it keeps climbing, and by the time it got to about 205, i'm already pulled off the highway.. by the time i came to a stop, 250... good thing i have evans npg+ and not traditional antifreeze and water... so i'm looking under my hood, a little black cap on the back of my water pump, which i had put on there... blew out... leaking my expensive evans npg+ everywhere... i was lucky i caught it in time tho, lucky i was looking at my guage... lucky the incident response guy stopped for me to give me a ride into town to get the stuff i needed to fix it... lucky i had extra evans npg+... but it sucks it happened in the first place.

(just have to post to get off the dreaded '666' post...)

He knows not to listen to me, Ray :D

I've told you time and again, just keep at it.
