ashtray hardware

So I'm looking at the the ashtray and the pivot pin at the bottom of the opening is broken out. I make a replacement and epoxied it in place and realize that I may be missing a spring device at the back of the ashtray to open the door when the push area is depressed. Anyone have a picture of what the original ashtray and the opening are suppose to look like when the ashtray is removed.

you used the term pivot so I think your talking about an 84-85?

Sorry I was not more specific. The car is a 85 GSL-SE. One of the sides of the center console that hold the pin broke. The pin was long gone. So I made a replacement pin. The question is what pushes the ashtray out from the closed position once you push the spot that says push. Currently I have to push at the bottom of the ashtray to get it to pivot out. I think that there was a spring behind the ashtray at one time which may have been removed when the pin support broke. The catch still exist that has to be pushed down to remove the ashtray and the gear on the drivers side is there.

I think I have a whole bottom half of one of the 84-85 consoles. If I can find it in the horrible mess I've made, you want it?
