Approximate value of my RX-7

Wondering what this car is worth. The insurance company asked, so I'll get an apprasal.
Do you all know, first, about what it's worth, and second is it better to state the value high or low?
It has 98,000 miles and everything works. There are no problems that I know of. It's completely stock.
Thanks!

Wow! Thats a clean looking car! Without seeing pics (lots more) of the interior and engine but assuming similar condition Id guess 4-6K. It doesnt sound like you plan on selling it so you found a good place to help you keep it in that shape.

Any rust under the bins?

That's a sweet looking Sa. A appraiser is the only that is qualified to determine that actual value for a insurance company. You will want to insure it for what they say it's worth if that is the question you are asking.

I would just tell you that it's worth about $500.00 then have you sign the pink over to me and I will pick it right up,lol....... Welcome to the forum Mike...

Thanks for the replys.
The car was purchased for my son to use as a fair weather fun car, and to learn something about working on cars. I paid $2200.
I heard something about a spot these cars tend to rust out. Where are these bins?

Nice car...Don't use Hagerty Classic Insurance...I have them and had a accident in my 85 GSL-SE..They claim that they only approve replacement parts that are used...I was shocked!!!!I agrued that new parts were available but they refused to pay...So try J C Taylor or Grundy for classic insurance..Just my two cents..

You actually won't have any bins because this is an Sa (79-80) model, but you can usually see through the back wheel well ... but its also a good idea to get it on a lift and look at the whole underside ...
