Do they fit well? Bolt in okay? Quality? Easy to adjust when you get different sized passengers in the car? etc? reccomended? |

Those look nice and look like they would hold you to your seat when you're cornering.
How hard would it be to install these? Would there be a roll cage needed? |
i saw those and was wondering the same thing, it doesnt require a roll bar from the pic cause its got the floor style mounts(bolt looking thing with a ring).if anybody has used them please share

I would recommend a 5pt harness only due to the fact that I notice the shoulder harness pull up on the lap belt and may cause problems with a 4-pt. Just my 2 cents

On a side note I found one with minimal install, but its for a car with rear seats & belts. Schroth claims that these are the only DOT approved 4 point harnesess. I want a four point harness in my RX-7 but since I use it as my daily driver I wouldn't install them unless it was DOT approved. To avoid any insurance problems or questions. http://www.soloracer.com/e46rallye41.html http://www.motoringfile.com/2004/09/...m_for_the_mini |
if your going to get some a cheap set of harness's off of ebay, get the ones that have MAZDASPEED embroidered on them, not Matrix
|
maybe its just me but spending 20 bucks on Mazdaspeed seat belts seems a little rediculous... Seems like an area where you should spend some real money in case you actually are in a accident. Seat belts are very important in most collisions and personally buying 20 dollar seat belts kinda scares me. I think the name brand Harnesses cost alot more because they are tried and tested to work well in all sorts of collisions. All in all the cg-lock that DF mentioned looks appealing because it allows you to manipulate the stock seat belt, and heck theyve even done all sorts of crash tests on it so you know your not going to die because of faulty seat belts.

Yeah, uhm.... There is a reason why real competition harnesses cost so much... They've been tested, and you'll KNOW that they'll hold in the event of an accident...
